As a Telugu language teacher for over 20 years, I am excited to bring to you the Telugu vocabulary for Colors and Shapes. In this lesson, we will go through the different colors and shapes in Telugu, with their corresponding pronunciations and English translations.

Colors

Here are the different colors in Telugu and their translations:

Telugu	Pronunciation	English
నీలం	Nēlaṁ	Blue
పచ్చ	Paccha	Green
పసుపు	Pasupu	Yellow
కాకి	Kāki	Gray
ఉప్పు	Uppu	White
కాపు	Kāpu	Black
వెంటి	Ventī	Red
పొట్టి	Poṭṭi	Orange

Some common phrases you can use when describing colors are:

• ఇది నీలం రంగు (Idi nēlaṁ raṅgu) - This is blue.
• నా పక్కన కాకి రంగు చాలా బాగుంది (Nā pakkana kāki raṅgu chālā bāgundi) - The gray color next to me is very nice.

Shapes

Here are some common shapes in Telugu and their translations:

Telugu	Pronunciation	English
వక్రం	Vakram	Oval
పెరిగిన వట్టం	Perigina vaṭṭaṁ	Circle
అనుకూల చతురస్తం	Anukūla caturasthaṁ	Rectangle
అసమాన త్రిభుజం	Asamāna tribhujaṁ	Irregular triangle
అసమాన వజ్రాకృతి	Asamāna vajrākr̥ti	Irregular diamond

Some common phrases you can use to describe shapes are:

• ఇది వట్టం (Idi vaṭṭaṁ) - This is a circle.
• మీరు చెక్కను బట్టి ఉన్న వజ్రాకృతి చాలా బాగుంది (Mīru cekkanu baṭṭi unnā vajrākr̥ti chālā bāgundi) - The diamond shape on your shirt looks very good.
