Formation

To form the Future Tense in Cebuano, you need to add the word "mag" before the verb. For example:

Mag-trabaho ka	mag-tɾa'bo-ho ka	You will work
Mag-kaon ako ug pinya	mag-ka'on 'ako 'ug 'pi-'nya	I will eat pineapple
Mag-lakaw ta sa parke	mag-la-'kaw ta sa paɾ-'ke	We will walk to the park

Negation

To make a negative sentence in future tense, you simply add "dili" before "mag". For example:

Dili mag-trabaho ka	di'li mag-tɾa'bo-ho ka	You will not work
Dili mag-kaon ako ug pinya	di'li mag-ka'on 'ako 'ug 'pi-'nya	I will not eat pineapple

Time expressions

To specify the time when the action will happen, you can add time expressions before or after the sentence. Here are some time expressions in Cebuano:

- Ugma - Tomorrow - Sunod nga semana - Next week - Buwag sa adlaw - In days - Sa Domingo - On Sunday - Human sa tulo ka adlaw - After three days - Karon - Now
