Lelo: Today

    • Naza na musala ebele lelo: I have a lot of work today

Lobi(ekoya): Tomorrow

    • Esengeli tokutana lobi: We have to meet tomorrow.

Lobi(eleki): Yesterday

    • Bakomaki na Kinshasa lobi(eleki): They got to Kinshasa yesterday

Sikoyo: Now

    • Ozokende sikoyo(sika sikoyo)?: Are you going now(right now)

Sikoyo te: Not now

    • Akoya sikoyo te: He/She won't come now

Sima: After

    • Benga nga sima: Call me after

Sima lobi: The day after tomorrow

    • Bandeko naye bakoya sima lobi: His/her siblings will come after tomorrow

Mbala eleki: Before/last time

    • Tokutanaki te mbala eleki: We didn't we last time

Poso eleki: last week
