Mohawk (Kanien'keha) Mohawk is an Iroquoian language withabout 3,350 speakers, most of whom are elderly, though there areyounger speakers in some areas.

Today, there are about 30,000 Mohawk in the United States and Canada.

Mohawk, self-name Kanien'kehá:ka (“People of the Flint”), Iroquoian-speakingNorth American Indian tribe and the easternmost tribe of the Iroquois (Haudenosaunee) Confederacy.
