In this lesson, we will learn about the gender rules in Marathi. We will look at the different genders and how to identify them. We will also look at some examples and practice exercises to help you understand the concept better. Let's get started!
Rules
In Marathi, there are three genders: masculine, feminine, and neuter. Masculine nouns refer to male persons or animals, while feminine nouns refer to female persons or animals. Neuter nouns refer to things that are neither male nor female.
The gender of a noun can usually be identified by its ending. Masculine nouns usually end in -a, -e, or -u, while feminine nouns usually end in -i or -ee. Neuter nouns usually end in -o or -oo.
However, there are some exceptions to these rules. For example, some nouns that end in -a can be either masculine or feminine, depending on the context.
