Passing Items at the Table in Amharic
When you pass an item you say:[edit | edit source]
- “ይኸው yïhäw” to mean “here you are”
and
- ማቀበል mak΄äbäl to mean “to pass”.
Imperative forms of mak΄äbäl አቀብለኝ ak΄äbïläñ ♂ pass to me[edit | edit source]
- አቀብይኝ ak΄äbïyiñ ♀
- አቀብሉኝ ak΄äbïluñ (plural)
