TO BE (IZAN)[edit | edit source]
Conjugation[edit | edit source]
Here is the conjugation table of IZAN (TO BE) in the present indicative:

hi haiz | you are (to a relative) |
hau / hori / hura da | he/she is (according to proximity) |
gu gara | we are |
zu zara | you are / you are (to someone you are not close to) |
zuek zarete | you are (to a group) |
hauek / horiek / haiek dira | they are (according to proximity) |

In the sentences above, indicating the personal pronoun is not obligatory, since the verb is sufficiently differentiated between persons. Thus, these sentences can be written:
