Climate in Slovakia[edit | edit source]
In Bratislava, the capital, the average winter temperatures are around zero, while in July and August the minimum temperatures are around 16 degrees and the maximum around 27/28°C. During the winter Bratislava can experience gray and humid days, but also intense frosts due to the eruption of cold air from Russia (with peaks of -20°C), while in summer it can experience hot and sultry days, when the air masses come from the south, with peaks of 35°C.
