Central Atlas Tamazight Grammar - Give Your Opinion

In this lesson, we will learn how to give our opinion in Central Atlas Tamazight. Giving your opinion is an essential part of communication and expressing oneself. By the end of this lesson, you will be able to express your ideas and thoughts in various contexts. Let's get started!

Expressing Agreement

When we agree with someone's opinion, we usually use the following expressions:

Ih /iħ/ Yes
Sasin /sasin/ For sure

Here's an example dialogue for expressing agreement:

  • Person 1: Tawada aylli? (This food is delicious?)

Expressing Disagreement

When we disagree with someone's opinion, we usually use the following expressions:

  • Person 2: D aba-yugh, tawada-n adrfedleh. (Not at all, this food is not spicy.)

Adding More Information

When we want to add more information to our opinion, we usually use the following expressions:

Here's an example dialogue for adding more information:

  • Person 1: Atan-d aghrum? (Do you want tea?)
  • Person 2: Akkin isem-iw eygan, ur-s-wason-it yella ulac-agh (In my opinion, I don't want it right now, but maybe later.)

Asking For Opinions

To ask for someone's opinion, we usually use the following expressions:

A-tt-dir tesna? /a-tːe̞diɾ tesna/ Do you agree?

Here's an example dialogue for asking for opinions:

  • Person 1: Amek tt-ifiran-d ighagh wuzzal-a? (What do you think about my suggestion?)
  • Person 2: Ur-ttwaɣ-d, d-yura umeggwas. (I disagree, it's too expensive.)
