The future tense in Morisyen is formed by adding the suffix -a to the verb stem. The verb stem is the part of the verb that remains after removing the infinitive ending -i. For example, the verb stem of the verb ''komiti'' (to read) is ''komit''. To form the future tense, we add the suffix -a to the verb stem: ''komita'' (will read). Β

The future tense can also be formed with the auxiliary verb ''va'' (will). This is done by conjugating the verb ''va'' in the present tense and adding the infinitive form of the main verb. For example, ''mi va komi'' (I will read).
