Danish Grammar - How to Use "Be"

Hi Danish learners! 😊
In this lesson, we will learn how to use the verb "be" in Danish. We will look at the conjugation of the verb, as well as some examples of how it is used in sentences.

The verb "be" is an important verb in Danish, and it is used to express existence, identity, and location. It is also used to form the passive voice. The conjugation of the verb "be" is as follows:

Here are some examples of how the verb "be" is used in sentences:

  • Jeg er fra Danmark. (I am from Denmark.)
  • Vi er glade. (We are happy.)
  • Han er min ven. (He is my friend.)
  • De er her. (They are here.)

The verb "be" can also be used to form the passive voice. Here are some examples of how it is used in the passive voice:

  • Bogen er skrevet af ham. (The book was written by him.)
