• እኔ አልተጠበቀው ma - I am not tired

Another way to express negation is to use the particle me before the verb. This is used when the verb is in the past tense. For example:

• እኔ አልተጠበቀው me - I was not tired

The particle ma can also be used with adjectives to express negation. For example:

• ይህ አይደለም ma - This is not good

Finally, the particle me can be used with adjectives to express negation in the past tense. For example:

• ይህ አይደለም me - This was not good

It is important to note that the particles ma and me are not interchangeable. They must be used according to the tense of the verb or adjective.
