In this lesson, we will learn the most important Yoruba words related to feelings and emotions. We will look at how to express happiness, sadness, anger, surprise, fear, and more.

Yoruba is a tonal language, so it is important to pay attention to the intonation when speaking. The same word can have different meanings depending on the tone used.

Expressing Happiness

Yoruba has many words to express happiness. Here are some of the most common ones:
