In this lesson, you will learn the most important Kinyarwanda words related to fruits. Knowing these words will help you to understand and communicate better in Kinyarwanda.

Fruits in Kinyarwanda

Fruits are an important part of the Kinyarwanda diet. Here are some of the most common fruits in Kinyarwanda:

Kinyarwanda Pronunciation English Translation
ibitoke /i.bi.to.ke/ banana
ibirayi /i.bi.ra.ji/ apple
ibigori /i.bi.go.ri/ orange
ibisuku /i.bi.su.ku/ pineapple
ibimu /i.bi.mu/ mango

You can also use the plural form of the word to refer to multiple fruits. For example, "ibitoke" (bananas) becomes "amabito" when referring to multiple bananas.
