Hi North Azerbaijani learners! 😊
In this lesson, we will learn about the future tense in North Azerbaijani. We will look at how to form the future tense, as well as some examples of its use.
The future tense is used to talk about actions that will happen in the future. In North Azerbaijani, the future tense is formed by adding the suffix -əcək to the verb stem. For example, the verb "to go" is ged- in the infinitive form. To form the future tense, we add the suffix -əcək, giving us the word gedəcək, which means "will go".
Examples
North Azerbaijani | Pronunciation | English Translation |
---|---|---|
gedəcək | ge-də-chək | will go |
yazacaq | ya-za-chak | will write |
çalışacaq | cha-li-shak | will work |
görməcək | gur-mə-chək | will see |
gələcək | ge-lə-chək | will come |
The future tense can also be used to make predictions about the future. For example, if someone says "Günəş görünməyəcək", it means "The sun won't be seen".
It is also possible to use the future tense to express a wish or desire. For example, if someone says "Gələcək günlərdə daha çox çalışacağıq", it means "We will work more in the future".
Finally, the future tense can be used to express an intention or plan. For example, if someone says "Gələcək həftə qarşıma çıxacaq", it means "I will come out next week".
