Tajik is the official language of Tajikistan and a recognized national language of Iran. It is a variety of Persian, also known as Farsi, and is written in the Cyrillic script. Tajik is spoken by over 10 million people worldwide, mostly in Tajikistan and Afghanistan.

In Tajik, the days of the week are named after the planets.

The days of the week in Tajik are not only named after the planets; they are also associated with different zodiac signs. For example, Monday is associated with the Moon, and Cancer is the corresponding zodiac sign.

In Tajikistan, Friday is the official day of rest, as it is in many Muslim countries. On Friday, Muslims attend midday prayers at the mosque, and then enjoy a family meal together. Sunday is a working day in Tajikistan, and the other days of the week are business days.

In Tajik culture, weddings often take place on Thursdays, which is considered a day of abundance and prosperity. Fridays and Saturdays are also popular days for weddings, while weddings on Mondays are rare. Sundays are usually reserved for rest and relaxation, as well as spending time with family.
