  • Namaste = Hi / Hello,
  • Welcome = Aap kaa swaagat hai.
  • Shoobh prabhaat = Good morning.
  • Shoobh dopehar = Good afternoon.
  • Shoobh sondhyaa = Good evening.
  • Shooh raatree = Good nigh.
  • Aap kaisay hain = How are you  ? Formal - Masculine
  • Aap kaisEE hain = How are you ? Formal - Female
  • Tum kaisay ho ? = How are you ? Informal - Masculine.
  • Tum kaiSEE ho ? = How are you ? Informal - Female

  • Dhanaywaad = thanks. Main achha hoon = I am good. - Masculine
  • Dhanyawaad = thanks, Main achEE hoon = I am fine - Feminine

  • Aap kaa naam kyaa hai ? = What's your name ? - Formal
  • Tumhaaraa naam kyaa hai ? = What's your name ? - Informal

  • Mayraa naam ............ hain. My name is............ In spite of the gender, construction doesn't chanage.
  • Mayraa naam SMITH hai. My name is Smith.
  • Mayraa naam TINA hai. My name is Tina

  • Aap kahaansay (aaye) hai  ? Where are you from ? Where have you come from ?
  • Male : Mai Amrikaa say hoon. I am from Amrika (USA)
  • Female : Mai England say hoon. I am from England

  • Aap say milkar khooshi huee = Glad to meet you
  • Dhanaywaad = thanks
  • fir milenge = will meet again
