Welcome to the Complete 0 to A1 Haitian Course. In this course, you will learn the essentials of Haitian, starting from the very basics and working your way up to an intermediate level. Whether you are preparing for a trip to Haiti, want to connect with Haitian speakers in your community, or simply want to explore the beautiful Haitian language and culture, this course is for you!

Here is a summary of what you will learn in this course (in less than 500 words):

The course is divided into several modules, each of which covers a different aspect of the Haitian language and culture.

In the first module, you will learn about nouns and articles. You will discover the gender of nouns in Haitian, and how to use corresponding articles. You will also learn how to form the plural of nouns and explore the use of definite and indefinite articles in Haitian.

In the second module, you will dive into verbs. You will learn how to conjugate regular verbs in the present tense in Haitian, how to form negative sentences using verbs, and how to ask questions using verbs.

In the third module, you will explore adjectives. You will learn how to agree adjectives with the gender and number of the nouns they modify, discover the typical position of adjectives in Haitian sentences, and explore how to form comparative and superlative forms of adjectives in Haitian.

In the fourth module, you will examine pronouns. You will learn the subject pronouns, object pronouns, and possessive pronouns in Haitian, and discover their corresponding forms of the verb.

Next, you will dive into basic sentence structure. You will learn the typical word order in simple sentences in Haitian, discover the structure of negative sentences, and explore the structure of question sentences in Haitian.

In the seventh module, you will explore greetings and introductions. You will learn how to say hello and goodbye in Haitian, as well as other useful greetings. You will also discover how to introduce yourself and others in Haitian, as well as other common introductory phrases.

In the eighth module, you will learn about numbers and time. You will learn how to count from zero to one hundred in Haitian, discover how to form and use ordinal numbers, and explore how to tell time in Haitian and use time-related expressions.

In the ninth module, you will explore food and drink. You will learn the names of the most common fruits and vegetables in Haitian, discover the names of common meats and seafood in Haitian, and explore the names of different beverages and drinks in Haitian.

In the final module, you will learn about Haitian history and geography, as well as Haitian art and music. You will learn about the Haitian Revolution and the country’s struggle for independence, discover the geography of Haiti, including its mountains, rivers, and major cities, explore the major holidays and celebrations in Haiti, such as Carnival and Independence Day. You will also learn about famous Haitian painters and different genres of Haitian music, such as compas, rara, and twoubadou.
