Using the personal pronouns is not obligatorily in Georgian. The III person subject (sing. and pl.) is in the dative case:
მას უყვარს (ის) | მათ მოსწონთ (ის) |
კაცს უყვარს (ის) | კაცებს მოსწონთ (ის) |
