Une ancre[edit | edit source]
"Une ancre" is the metal part that keeps a boat from moving while at sea.
- Example : Les marins ont jeté l’ancre.
The sailors have dropped anchor.
De l'encre[edit | edit source]
"L'encre" is the substance used to write or print (ink).
- Example : L’écolier a jeté de l’encre sur son professeur.
The schoolboy threw ink on his teacher.
