French Regular plurals[edit | edit source]

To form a plural in French, add an -s (usually pronounced as a soft "s" sound) at the end of the singular noun" is a common rule for forming plurals in French. Here are some examples:

Singular French Plural English
une loi des lois law(s)
un coussin des coussins pillow(s)
un enfant des enfants child(ren)
une moto des motos motorcybles(s)
un chat des chats cat(s)
une phrase des phrases sentence(s)
