English Ancient Greek
khaiire:  greeting to one person Χαῖρε
khairete: greeting to more than one person Χαίρετε
mega khaire:  greeting to one person Μέγα χαῖρε
mega khairete: greeting to more than one person Μέγα χαίρετε
kai su ye: reply to Χαῖρε, Χαίρετε, Μέγα χαῖρε, and Μέγα χαίρετε Καὶ σὺ γε
ti pratteis: how are you, spoken to one person Τί πράττεις (Attic dialect) ή τί πράσσεις;(Epic, Ionic)
ti prattete: how are you, spoken to a group Τί πράττετε;
pant' agatha pratto o file: reply to Τί πράττεις and Τί πράττετε;  Πάντ' ἀγαθὰ πράττω, ὦ φίλε
pos ekheis: how are you? Πῶς ἒχεις;
kalos ekho: reply to πῶς ἐχεῖς; εὖ πράττω
eu ekho: reply to πῶς ἐχεῖς; Εὖ ἔχω
kalimeron: general greeting in the Koine dialect Καλήν ἡμέραν
ilthes: welcome greeting in the Koine dialect, "have you come?" Ἦλθες
aspazdomai: welcome kindly, embrace,espouse Ἀσπάζομαι
erroso / erroste(plural) kai igiene: goodbye greeting, be strong and healthy. Ἔρρωσο / ἔρρωσθε καὶ ὑγίαινε / ὑγιαίνετε
is afthis: goodbye, see you Εἰς αὖθις!
íthi eutukhis!: Be happy ἴθι εὐτυχής!
oûle te ke màla chère: Be healthy οὖλέ τε καὶ μέγα χαῖρε!
chère pollà: good health Χαῖρε πολλά
Hygíaine!: good health ὑγίαινε!
May God bless you with good health and long life Τοὺς θεοὺς εὔχομαί σοι διδόναι ὑγίειαν
