Οι Πυθιόνικοι είναι επινίκιοι ύμνοι του Πινδάρου, 45 σωζόμενοι,
που αναφέρονται σε νικητές των τεσσάρων διασημότερων πανελλήνιων αθλητικών αγώνων και χωρίζονται σε τέσσερις ομάδες: Ολυμπιόνικοι, Νεμεόνικοι, Πυθιόνικοι και Ισθμιόνικοι. Οι Πυθιόνικοι αποτελούνται από 12 ωδές. |
Pindare (518 - 438 av. J.-C.) est un célèbre poète lyrique Grec.
Il est le premier à faire de l'épinicie, hymne de triomphe, une sorte de poème dont la signification est à la fois religieuse et morale. Ces héros sont les gagnants des quatre jeux de sport panhelléniques les plus célèbres et sont divisés en quatre groupes: Olympiens, Néméens, Pythiques et Isthmiens. Un vers de son poème Pythiques, dans certaines langues. |
..μή, φίλα ψυχά, βίον ἀθάνατον σπεῦδε, τὰν δ᾽ ἔμπρακτον ἄντλει μαχανάν. |
Ψυχή μου, μην ποθείς αθάνατη ζωή, αλλά επιδίωκε μοναχά ό,τι περνά απ᾽ το χέρι σου και εξάντλησέ το. |
Ô mon âme, n'aspire point à la vie des immortels et n'entreprends jamais rien au-dessus de tes forces possible. |
Oh! my soul do not aspire to eternal life, but exhaust the limits of the possible |
Do not yearn, O my soul, for immortal life! Use to the utmost the skill that is yours. |
Non aspirare, anima cara, alla vita immortale, ma esplora tutti i campi del possibile. |
Dunque non agognare, o mia dolce anima, vita immortal, ma ciò che è dato esercita. |
Nicht, liebes Herz, trachte nach unsterblichem Leben! Den Plan schöpfe aus, der machbar! |
No te esfuerces, alma mía querida, por una vida inmortal, sino aprovecha al máximo el remedio que esté al alcance. |
