FREE Language Exchange meeting in LONDON !!!!

on FRIDAY 19TH OF NOVEMBER from 7 PM to 10 PM

at : The Rocket, 120 Euston Road, NW1 2AL, London (check MAP)

Hi everyone,

I've noticed every other city has a pretty active polyglot network and we don't have something similar in London...

I thought it would be great to get all polyglots together for a bit of a get-together in London. If you're interested, the Rocket is a nice little place and features a big screen TV, jukebox, and pool.

Ulyana and Christophe,

Call Christophe if you cannot find us

tel.: (+44) 07796823781

They talk about us!

Hi everyone

Is there still currently a polyglot cafe happening in London?

If not I would be happy to organise it.

I know a good bar in Westminster which is central and with not loud music and lots of space.

Please let me know if any of you are interested and/or there is already a cafe up and running!

LONG live the London Chapter of Polyglot Club!

I would also suggest a venue that is: central (but not crowded), welcoming (but not too loud), cheap (but good quality), and rather small =)

Enjoy your Polyglot Club Meetings, YOU make it happen!

Hello everybody

here are some tips on how to organize a good polyglot meeting and find a nice venue

  • Place with easy access (center is better)
  • Not too crowded, not too noisy
  • where you can move around and sit

  Hello everyone !

Thank you for your interest in participating in next Polyglot London meeting. Next time, do take my number, or whoever-is-running-the-meeting's number. Last time, we suspected that some people walking across the bar were looking for us, and it is such a shame they came for nothing.

Also, could you suggest any good address for a pub/bar?

The last bar had some good points: cheap (!), close to Saint-Pancras station.

However:

- Polyglot meetings are really casual and informal, but we do come to talk to each other! Therefore it makes it hard to bear overloud music.

- The bar was a little too big, so it makes it hard to talk to the management about our group and for participants to find us.

Thus, we are rather looking for a medium-sized (so you can find us) and cosy. I am already committed to this quest. Feel free to suggest any place you'll find convenient.

Thank you again for your participation!

Chris

Hi Vincent

I can help to organize next meeting. I guess it will not be easy to get any place reserved in December but January should be fine.

Chris already mentioned about arranging next meeting around 20th January and I think it's a good idea as more people will be available.

Best Regards,

Ulyana
