Polyglot Stockholm: Welcome to Stockholm:

‘Stockholm- the capital of Sweden and the capital of Scandinavia (the largest capital of Scandinavia) is one of the most beautiful capitals in the World.

Stockholm is often called Venice of Northern Europe the capital is constituted on islands situated on the large lake Mälaren. Stockholm is also where the lake and the Baltic sea meet.

Stockholm has about 10  000 islands called Stockholm’s "Skärgård" (archipelagos).

The astouning capital with  its nature so nearby  is something really exceptional nowadays. The nature and beauty of the city with clean clear water (to drink and swim in, even in the centre) makes Stockholm an amazing and very nice place to visit and/or to live in.

The people of Stockholm also called the“08” (by other habitants of other Swedish regions have a lot to offer, and show in this beautiful capital of Sweden.

The Old town “Gamla Stan”, the Nordic animal park “Skansen”, the “Vasa” museum, the Royal palace, the tower of “Kaknäs”, the City hall “Stadshuset” with an excellent view and where the Nobel price ceremony is held every December, the park of “Haga”, the beautiful lake “Mälaren” with the islands “Södermalm”, “Gamla Stan and Riddarholmen”, “Kungsholmen”, “Skepsholmen”, “Djurgården”, “Birka” with its Viking village and “Drottingholm” where the Royal family actually lives, just to mention some.

The history of Stockholm is about 700 years old (the town was founded in the middle of 13 th century by Birger Jarl).

The city has a very beautiful, colourful and varieties architecture which is much appreciated. The many boats surrounding the city and cafes make the city an aestival and fascinating city to be in. In the summer it is really the right place to be! Welcome to Stockholm and to Stockholm's Polyglot Club!’

Hej everyone.

I just moved to Sweden few weeks ago and I would like to meet people here in Stockholm. For now I've been wandering in the city but I think it would be better if I have some locals to get around with and who might help me with learning Swedish living style.

I want to learn Swedish so this would be a good way for me to boost my learning. I can teach French since it's my native language, I also speak English quite well so maybe I can help some of you who want to practice.

Anyway feel free to contact me and hope to see some of you on the next Polyglot event. I will have a look to the search engine, I just wanted to introduce myself :-)

Regards.
