Cakap Cakap: Learn Malay & Bahasa Indonesia

Join us at Cakap Cakap: Learn Malay & Bahasa Indonesia Meetup and pick up some Bahasa.

Currently, this meetup incorporates both Bahasa Melayu and Bahasa Indonesia. You may get 'teachers' who speak only one variety of Bahasa but not the other - it really depends on who attends the meetup.

We are looking for individuals who are keen to help as event hosts. Please contact any of our co-organisers if you are interested to help.

Important points to remember:
(1) Do not consume food not bought from the food court;
(2) Do not block the aisles by overcrowding at any one table;
(3) Please buy at least an item from any of the stalls there (it is the goodwill of the food court's management to allow us to use the premises free of charge, so it is only right that we reciprocate by patronising the vendors).

Please see the details important rules for attending our meetups at the Koufu food court in 100AM shopping mall here:

We welcome anyone who is keen to learn Bahasa Melayu or Bahasa Indonesia or help others learn the languages. However, this is NOT the platform for individuals who have other intentions, such as recruiting members for their business or organisation or selling products or services. We will not hesitate to ask such individuals to stop attending our meetups if they have been found to be pestering our members for such purposes.

100AM Mall is next to Amara Singapore hotel.

We usually sit at one end of the food court, somewhere in between the drinks stall and the Indian food stall -- not directly in front of the stalls but next to them, at the corner where there are a lot of round and rectangular tables and glass windows. There are two entrances to the food court. If you enter from the side where there is a pet shop, walk all the way to the end (do not turn left or right). If you enter from the other entrance, turn right and walk towards the drinks/Indian stall and you will see us on your left. Bring a jacket or sweater as the food court can be quite cold.
