I've known the word "ذٰلِكَ" for a long time. It means "that", something that is far from the speaker. But I've read somewhere, that it can be inflected by pronouns like "ذٰلِكُمْ", "ذٰلِكُمَا", "ذٰلِكِ", "ذٰلِكُنَّ". I'm not sure what its meaning is. For example, does ذٰلِكُمَا mean something that is far from me and somehow related to the two people I'm talking to or what? Thank you for the answers.

 | amat-ALLAHMês passado في اللغة العربية الحديثة يتفادى المتحدث إلحاق إسم الإشارة ذلك بالمخاطب كقولنا : ذلك الكتاب يا تلميذ وذلك الكتاب يا تلاميذ. لكن في لغة القرآن والعربية الاصيلة فيلحق بإسم الإشارة الضمير المخاطب كأن نقول:ذلك الكتاب يا تلميذ ذلكما الكتاب يا تلميذان ذلكن الكتاب يا تلميذات ذلكم الكتاب يا تلاميذ |
