If you are referring to a THE woman, you have to use "bestemt form" which is "kvinnen". If you refer to A woman, you have to use "ubestemt form" which is "en kvinne".

Examples:

Jeg har møtt drømmekvinnen. (I have met THE woman of my dreams).
Jeg har drømt om en kvinne. (I have dreamt about A woman).
Jeg har snakket med den vakreste kvinnen. (I spoke to THE most beautiful woman).
Jeg snakket med en vakker kvinne. (I spoke to A beautiful woman).
