Question regarding this passage of the bible and this picture:
I know from the context that this passage is talking about a Prophet coming to the Gentiles, and from the place it is talking about, it becomes evident that this is somewhere in Arabia - where Kedar, the son of Ishmael dwelled (Vers 11), and where the mountain Sela is, so thats pretty much in Medina in Saudi (also Vers 11).
Just want to know whether the translation of the word from this translator engine is correct. From what I know, Ahmad means someone praised or the like.
Thanks in advance

Joshua90May 2022 Adding to previous answers, I’d like to reply to the rest of your question: ”From what I know, Ahmad means someone praised or the like.” Before I explain why your understanding is almost correct, just to clarify that the word you selected in the phrase means ”Support” in future tense(I will support thy). In Hebrew the words sound similar but aren’t the same: - Ahmed (אחמד) = no meaning, it’s a name. - Ahmod (אחמוד) = I-will-like. - Hamud (חמוד) = Cute |
