i know the correct term is “richtig oder falsch”, but, if i am correct, “wahr” also means “true”. why do we say “richtig oder falsch” instead of “wahr oder falsch”? i’m just curious.

The ”richtig”-”falsch” pair is mostly applied in the context of quiz or test situations. The ”wahr”-”falsch” pair is mainly applied in informatic or mathematical logic. There are also negations like ”unwahr” (in a juridical context) or ”unrichtig” (in mathematics). So mainly the context is decisive of the complementary pair of attributes of the ”truth value” of a phrase.
