Subjonctif en anglais

Bonjour je suis en train de réviser "l'équivalent du subjonctif" en anglais. Je cherche à traduire la phrase suivante : peu importe que ce soit vrai ou pas ! L'important c'est qu'il continue à travailler sans se soucier des ragots. Dans mon livre il y a la correction suivante : Never mind whether it is true or not ! The important thing is that he keeps on working without worrying about the gossip.

Je comprends la correction sauf le he keeps ... pour moi c'est la marque d'un présent de l'indicatif et non d'un présent du subjonctif ?

Bonjour, parfois le présent du subjonctif peut corrispondre avec le présent de l'indicatif en anglais; il s'agit d'une construction plutot informelle du subjonctif. Il y a trois façons d'exprimer le subjonctif présent en anglais:

--> should + base form of the verb: e.g. The police insisted that the car should be removed immediately.

--> base form of the verb: The police insisted that the car be removed immediately.

--> Present Simple of the verb: e.g. The police insist that the car is removed immediately. Le prémier cas est le plus formel. Si vous avez des questions à poser, vous pouvez écrire une mail ou un comment. A bientot
