If someone ask you about something and you don’t have it. So what is the correct answer, ”I don’t have it” or ”I haven’t” or both are correct??

”I don’t have it” is the correct option of the two you have mentioned - regarding the lack of possession of the object.

Here is a suggestion:
If the people are older than you, to respect the people, you can say ”’Sorry, but I don’t have it.’

If the person is your friend or you are already met for a long time, you can say ”No, I don’t.”
