Another thing I should add is that for improved fluency, you must also be thinking in the language you are using/learning.
Some people might be ”offended” by the advice about only using the language you are learning to describe the words you are learning, e.g. using only English to describe words in English you are learning. I’m more than happy to explain why students very rarely get beyond a high B1 / low B2 level when translation between the native and learnt language is extensively used.
