Is there anyone to help me. I don't understand what is the different, on vacation and taking a vacation.

As far as I know being on vacations means exactly that, that you are on vacation in this moment, whereas when you say "taking" you are yet to do it, example:  "I can't help you, I'm on vacation now" and "I'm taking a vacation trip next weekend, do you wanna come?"

They can also, given the context, mean precisely the same thing, i.e., being away on holiday.

when you say "taking" it means that its coming up, you are not on a vacation yet. but when you say "i am on a vacation" you are not working, off of work, you are on a vacation
