”essere una cassandra” in english

Hello to everyone

could someone please tell me if there is an English language idiomatic expression equivalent to the italian "essere una cassandra"?

Explanation: In italian "essere una cassandra" means "to be someone who anticipates a negative event, but with his/her warnings being unheeded". It comes form the Illyad (Cassandra was the priestess of Apollo who anticipated that the city of Troy would fall if the Troyans accepted the horse as a git)

i can't think of any special idiom in English but a 'portender of doom' or 'harbinger of bad news' kind of says the same thing

What about 'a foreboder' (someone who has premonitions about sth)
