EXAMPLES OF "SINGLE SENTENCES" WHICH ARE CONTRADICTIONS WITHIN THEMSELVES, I.E., SELF-CONTRADICTORY:

- We are awaiting news from military intelligence.
- The sweet cherries had a sour flavor.
- Orange is the new black.

They would be two sentences with completely opposite statements. ie. The cat is black. The cat is white. OR I went to the shop. I did not go to the shop.

    I think the OP might be seeking examples of single sentences that are, within a single sentence, contradictory.

    To cite your example, "The black cat was white." would satisfy this prerequisite, although it is difficult to imagine even the MOST STUPID ENGLISH LEARNER (OR NATIVE SPEAKERS -- PLENTY OF IDIOTS IN USA, UK, ETC. WHOSE COMMAND OF THEIR NATIVE LANGUAGE IS ABSOLUTELY ABYSMAL... TRUMP IS A GOOD EXAMPLE OF THAT!)
