Difference between ”Grasp” and ”Glimmer” in this sentences

Hi, are these sentences grammatical and logical?

"You don't have the grasp of what I'm talking about, because it's inscrutable."

"You don't have the slightest glimmer of what I'm talking about."

Do these sentences make sence? Do they sound natural to you dear natives?

Hi! They do make perfect sense. There's only one slight correction I may make on the first sentence. "Grasp" when used as an expression of understanding, is usually used in conjunction with the preposition "a". So, it should be as follows: "You don't have a grasp of what I'm talking about...". Other than that, they're perfect!

Are these expressions intelligible? Anybody there?
