First of all you need to understand how you learned your mother tongue. Its very simple , First of all listen , understand amd try to speak.
You need to know vocabulary before speaking any Language.
Watch movies with subtitles etc.

Listen to children's stories that I am familiar with in English, learn the alphabet, practise reading out loud extensively and find a native speaker to talk to in the language,
