i think that learning with, for example, native speakers can be fun and can give a lot of experience but sometimes it's just not enough. people usually want to pay for lessons and go to a teacher who will explain everything to them step by step than learning everything from a native who could not especially be a teacher. the case is a little bit different if you know a language at some point, then you can experiment and try to communicate with others, i guess

Something to consider is grammar. In day to day conversations, the proper way to structure a sentence is often times omitted. This happens mainly because we don't have to stop and think about it, we are already used to structuring sentences. With use in more "colloquial" situations, we tend to dismiss and even alter certain rules of the language. This is fine, it's normal for this to happen. Nevertheless, someone starting out may find it more reassuring to know they are learning the language in its entirety, with all the proper rules and formes and that's why we pay for official lessons.
