I don’t think there’s a single “best” way for learning any language without studying grammar. But if this is the path you choose, there are, I think, some essentials that you must include. First, you need to expose yourself as much as possible to the language, and use it as much as possible. This naturally means conversing with natives as often as you can. Failing that, you can resort to songs (preferably with written lyrics) and movies, as already suggested, as well as news (both spoken and written). You need to PAY CLOSE ATTENTION to the way native speakers express themselves, and imitate them.

Additionally, you need a way to understand what is being said and how to respond. This means a dictionary (or, better yet, a set of dictionaries) and a means of spot-checking grammatical questions. I use Google Search as well as Linguee and Reverso, among other tools, for this purpose. These tools allow you to determine how something needs to be said in order to communicate a particular meaning, and why.

I’m living proof that you can learn to speak a language well without dedicating a lot of time to rote grammatical study. I believe languages are best learned when they are lived, not studied. There is a place for studying grammar; but this should be done to supplement the learning process, not dominate it. Focus your energies on communicating; use a dictionary; cross-check and double-check the accuracy of what you’re saying. Do these things and you’ll excel.
