Which one is more correct between "while" and "meanwhile" in this sentence: It's similar as in Swedish, they only know "är". Meanwhile (or while?) in English, there are 3 kinds of blah blah blah..

I would handle this statement in either of two ways::

Variant 1:
In Swedish they have only the word "är", while in English there are three ways of saying blah blah blah ....

Variant 2:
While in Swedish thay have only the word "är", English has three ways of saying blah blah blah...

There are, of course, still more variants (permutations) one could use to express this statement, but the two cite above will suffice.

Thanks for your explanation. So here we use "while" instead of "meanwhile".
