CoupdessaiJanuary 2018 Better: "I was not aware of how serious the situation had become." or "I did not know about the situation." Do not confuse with the word, "whereabouts". Good luck. |
alan_smithJanuary 2018 I agree... "I was not aware how serious the situation was" or "I was not aware OF how serious the situation was"
alana_hubbJanuary 2018 "I was not aware how serious the situation was." (Both sentences are wrong.) No need to repeat |
robynbMarch 2018 Good question! The other answers before mine are correct. Also, you’re making the same error as my students & I’ll try to explain this the best I can: The verb “was” has to be at the end of the clause. If you put the verb before the subject “situation,” that’s the order for asking a question: How serious was the situation? My students always say, “I don’t know what is it,” and “I don’t know who is it. “ Again, you don’t want to make this interrogative, so put the verb last. |
Claire-RealJanuary 2018 I was not aware about the serious of the situation. |
