The article offered to the reader gives a brief overview of two theories of the origin of the Evenks prevailing in Chinese ethnography, and also describes the third, a new theory of their origin, which was created by the Russian scientist M.G.Turov.

Such an article became necessary because the old theories (both were created by Russian scientists) have hardly been updated or verified by Chinese science over the past half century.

In addition, as will be shown in this text, both theories initially had insufficiently reliable grounds.

At the same time, over the past fifty years there has been progress in the field of population genetics, as well as the accumulation of new historical and ethnographic materials on the Evenks has not stopped.

As a result of these changes, the previous theories lost their relevance and it became necessary to create a new theory.

However, the new theory created more than ten years ago is still unknown to the authors of scientific papers in China.

This article is an attempt to introduce M.G.Turov’s constructions into the circulation of Chinese science.
