- The most useful and important strategies for my studies that I have learned during this course are strategies related to the learning cycle including 4 steps: preparing, absorbing, capturing, and reviewing.
- Before this course, I didn’t know why it’s so important to review your notes and recall what you have already known before getting a new portion of information.
- So at the end of each week scheduled one-hour sessions to review the notes I took and to prepare for the new upcoming week.
- I liked the strategies for active and conches reading and listening, such as how to prepare for a class and think critically and questioning everything that you have read or heard.
- Also, after I took the VARK questionary, which helped me to identify my preferred learning styles, and read the recommendations for the Aural and Kinesthetic modes, I started talking with others about what I have just learned and started to watch supplementary videos about a topic to understand and remember the course information better.
- The strategies about effective note-taking presented in the book of this course were very helpful, especially the Cornell method that I’m currently trying to get used to.
- I will definitely apply those strategies for my future studies at university since it helped me a lot during the present courses I’m taking.
