My first post

• This is my first post on this platform.

• I'll start by telling my English Learning story.

• It all started in Brazil, where I was born, in 2014 when I was listening to a Brazilian podcast called weRgeeks.

• In that episode, they talked about how important is to have English skills in this globalized world and also how much better is the experience of watching American movies and TV shows without the need for subtitles.

• As I was tired of searching for subtitles for my favourite shows, I thought it could be a good idea to finally learn English since in all the years learning it in school I wasn't really willing to understand and enjoy it, I was just getting enough to pass the tests.

• Long story short, since then, I started to listen to podcasts, watch Youtube, read books, write, speak, and search content on the web, trying to do almost everything in English.

• In 2018, after 4 years of learning and practicing my English virtually every day, I was able to get a job and moved to Canada with my family.

• However, even after getting here, I still have lots to learn and my speaking is still poor since I don't speak that much with other people and my main communication tool is a textbased chat.

• Well, I guess I wrote too much already! Bye!
