Pyramid

• The last book I read is "Pyramid" by a soviet writer Boris Bondarenko.

• It' s a story about 3 physicists trying to enhace the understanding of elementary particles.

• Dmitryi, the central character, worked extremely hard while others were not so diligent.

• Eventually they managed to finish the work and verified a theory by experiment.

• But all the mental efforts made Dmitryi exhausted and he felt he had to take a break.

• He went to Kamchatka, a peninsula washed by two seas and the Pacific Ocean.

• At this place he partly recovered strength.

• But walking by the Ocean's shore Dmitryi suddenly understood that everything he and his colleagues had worked on was a mistake.

• And this mistake could have overturned the whole conception of modern physics.
