Travelling alone
- When you decide where to go on holiday, the first thing you think is “Who am I going with?” So, you plan the trip trying to satisfy everyone’s requests, sometimes putting aside what you’d really like to do or see.
- This week I was supposed to travel with another girl, who cancelled her booking at the last moment.
- At the beginning, I just panicked, starting figuring out the problem, trying to involve other people to come to Scotland with me.
- But then, I realized that I was old and mature enough to travel alone.
- Therefore, I packed my stuffs and flew to Edinburgh, stayed a couple of night in that fascinating city and then continue towards the northern part of Scotland.
- Thanks to a tour, I met other girls, many of which had been travelled alone around the world for months.
- Moral of the story?
- If you want to visit a city, a country or wherever you want to go, just GO without waiting for anyone.
- If I had cancelled my trip, I’ve would never seen those breath-taking landscapes or met such loving people.
- And furthermore, Scotland is the best destination to travel alone: it makes you think about yourself, your deepest needs, it helps your heart reconnect to your soul.
- We want to be surrounded by the people to feel happier.
- But sometimes we don’t realize that alone we’re enough.
