  • Reading

    • When learning a second language, reading is necessary even if you only aim at bettering your speaking fluency level.
    • Sounds odd, isn't it?
  • Didn't you notice that it was harder to concentrate on your pronunciation while you were struggling to find the right word or the right phrase?
    • But don't read only with you eyes.
    • Read pen in hand.
    • My little piece of advice would be to proceed this way: - buy cheap books you can pen on pages without any remorse, - when reading, just underline the words you don't understand and the phrases you are not used to.
  • - some days later, get back to your book.
  • Study the vocabulary you have found out and write it down - everybody's memory is so bad!
  • - Don't write lists.
  • Lists are good for shopping, not for learning.
  • - Write out word clusters.
  • Would you like to know what word clusters can be? OK.
  • I'll tell you next time.
  • Thank you for your corrections and comments.
