The particles 吧 (ba)
吧 (ba) is one of the most common sentence particles in Chinese.
The particle 吧 (ba) is used a lot in conversations.
吧 has two main uses:
- It indicate that something is a command or suggestion
- The use of the 吧 sentence particle turn your instruction into something more neutral and soft.
Let’s have a look at some example:
- 咱们走吧。
Zánmen zǒu ba. Let's go.
- 快点吧！
Kuài diǎn ba! Hurry up!
- 我们 结婚 吧。
Wǒmen jiéhūn ba. Let's get married.
