Cultural Information

Did you know that Israel has one of the highest rates of public transportation usage in the world? In fact, many Israelis prefer to use public transportation over owning a car. This is not only due to environmental concerns but also because of the high cost of owning a car in Israel. Additionally, Tel Aviv, the second-largest city in Israel, has an extensive bike-sharing program called Tel-o-fun, which allows people to rent a bicycle for a low fee to travel around the city.

Practice Exercise

Practice using the transportation and travel vocabulary by making sentences with the words and phrases we learned today. Here are some examples to help you get started:

1. אני אוהב לנסוע עם המטוס. (Ani ohev linso'a im hamatos.) - I love to travel by plane. 2. יש לי רכב עצמאי. (Yesh li rekhav atzma'i.) - I have a private car. 3. הם לוקחים את האוטובוס ללונדון. (Hem lokhim et haotobus lalondon.) - They take the bus to London.
